Dear Rich’s Web Design Clients:

As a client of Rich’s Web Design you will be receiving a monthly report from Google Analytics in PDF format on the first day of EACH month.  Google Analytics is the industry’s leading web statistics application that will show you valuable statistics (good and bad) about visitors to your own web site.

It will show you the number of visitors your site received the previous month, what search phrases they used to find your site, which pages they viewed the most, the average time they spent on your site, how many visitors “bounced” (left after only viewing 1 page), and other details.

BELOW you will see an example of a client report with RED arrows and explanations in RED so that each section is very understandable.  Take a look!

Page 1 is the Overview page that has various sections; pages 2,3, 4 etc. show the details of these sections.  If your business name is a main search term (for example “All Year Cooling” or “Pope Companies”) I have included an additional section showing the search terms NOT INCLUDING the same or a part of your business name.  For example “All Year Cooling” is a term searched often, but if I exclude the term “All”, then better stats will show that “HVAC in Kernersville NC” is their top searched phrase.  If I exclude the word “Pope” from the Pope companies search, their #1 search term is “angus ridge Kernersville”.

For those of you who have “Contact Us” types of forms on your site, I just set-up last week to count how many people send you these.  These are shown on your report as “Conversions”.  You may have only a few since I just set them up on or around Sept. 22nd (not a full month).

I hope these monthly reports will show you valuable stats about visitors to your site and what phrases we can emphasize differently.  Yes, I have learned this valuable tool while working at BEM Interactive. 

If you would like to continue to receive these reports, you do not need to do a thing, except that I ask that you take just a little bit of time to view these.  You may not understand the first month’s reports, but once you receive 3 or 4, they will start to make sense.

I have also set these up so that if you so desire, I can send you the login info and you can view these stats whenever you desire.  You just will need to ask.
