1. How will this improve my business?
It will expose your business to the entire world. Everyone is always looking for a way to improve the image of ANY business …. Having a professionally designed site WILL present a professional image to your existing AND future customers. It will present information to your clients BEFORE one of your salesmen visits a potential customer …. In other words, your clients will be much better informed! If you choose, we can set it up to take orders 24 hrs a day! You can show examples of your products, especially if it is cost prohibitive to have a salesman show a product during a sales call.

2. I already have plenty of advertisements in the “Yellow Pages”
Do you realize how much the small ads cost? On your own site, you can have full color, animation, e-mail links where people can contact you 24-7-365, ways to go to other pages within or outside of your site for further information. We can change your pages at anytime … pictures, prices, typos, anything! If you choose, we can set it up so that people can order items on-line 24 hrs a day! Can you do any of these things within a 2″x3″ ad?!?!?!

3. I already have a site, but I am not happy with my service!
I regularly take over sites that are designed poorly, or are not being maintained in a professional manner. This can be due to poor service, or the designer is just too busy to fix your site. Feel free to contact any of my current clients and ask them what kind of service I provide. They will tell you the truth!

4. What happens if I want to make my own changes in the future?
Sure we can set this up, but I still have to pay for the server space which hosts the site. Plus it will be faster and less likely to make a disastrous mistake if I make your changes for you!

5. How long is the contract for?
One year … After the first year, your only cost will be for the maintenance / server space, re-submission to search engines, and the domain name (every other year).

6. How will people find my site?
I personally go to the major search engines (Yahoo, Alta Vista, Web Crawler, AOL, HotBot, InfoSeek, Lycos, etc) and submit them directly. This will happen after you provide me with as many keywords as possible … Words that describe your business, and the site is approved by YOU!

7. How long will the process take?
90% of my sites, I can build them, receive your input, make the changes, have you finalize it within 2-3 weeks. Larger sites might take 3+ weeks.

8. How will I see the site while it is “under construction”?
I will assign it a unique URL …www.RichsWebDesign.com/acme ! This way, only you and I will be able to see it, until your final approval, THEN we make it go “live” LOOKING PERFECT, WITH NO MISTAKES!!!!

9. Who will own the domain name?
You will own it! I will place your name as the “Administrator” and my name as the “technical” and “billing” contact. Some other web designers register themselves as the “Administrator”, “Technical”, and “Billing” contacts. Resulting in the designer’s ownership of the domain name, NOT you! If you are not happy with his service, or find a better web person, you might be “up the creek!”

10. Can I have a counter added?
Yes, and it is FREE! I would not suggest it for a business site.

11. How often can I make changes?
Everyday, if you really want to! But only to the existing pages!

12. Can I have e-mail addresses?
Yes … unlimited numbers! Joe@acmehardware.com , info@acmehardware.com , etc.!

13. Can I have links/reciprocal links to other businesses?
Yes, they are a great idea, and will improve the number of hits/visitors!

14. How much do you need to start?
1/2 of the anticipated final amount!

15. How long have you been designing web sites?
I have been designing since 1997, but but SEO since about 2005. First was my own site, then a friend’s site, then a friend’s business site, then a … You get the picture?

16. How many clients do you have now?
The number changes every week, so go to “Clients” and see the current number.

17. Can I also have music on my site?
Yes, but some sites may not be appropriate with music in the background? I can provide the MP3 selections for free, or you can send then to me.

18. Do I know Java, Flash, and DHTML?
Yes and no! I do use Java applets, JavaScripts and DHTML scripts on my sites on a regular basis, but I do not create them. Flash is an application that I use on a regular basis.

19. How is your service better than any other?
It is professional, courteous, inexpensive, and the turn-around time for designing and maintaining your site will be remarkable. If you do not believe this, feel free to contact any or all of my clients to get a first-hand account of my service. Another way is to select “References Letters” or “Press Releases”, and read what others say about Rich’s Web Design!

23. Does your bid include maintenance for 1 FULL year?
Yes, maintenance is an especially important part of a site. Maintenance is defined as “making any changes to the existing pages, except if those changes are considered architectural.” Considering how the search engines change their methodology every month or two, one has to change each and every site so that it conforms, and is listed properly. Most other designers build the site for you and then charge you per change. These charges can add up quickly, plus you have to deal will receiving a bill every month, etc.

24. How will you design MY site differently than your others?
Every site is custom built! Go to my clients page and try to find 2 sites that are built the same, GO AHEAD and TRY!
